The tears of Jesus

 

 

Jesus cries real tears because of your suffering.
Jesus carries your pain, and feels for your struggles.

Did you know that?

Did you know that Jesus is so completely connected
to people who are suffering, that their sufferings
become His sufferings?

Even if these people do not know Jesus…
He knows them and cries with and for them.
That is why He says:
"If you clothe the naked, you are clothing Me.
If you feed the hungry, you are feeding Me.
If you take in a homeless person, you take Me into your home."

Jesus completely identifies Himself with the suffering of people.

Let me encourage you to read the text below,
written by Renate Sorensen, as an encouragement for people
who are really suffering, being terribly abused, rejected,
and neglected. Jesus is there!

It is He who says to you, "My child, let me tell you – ‘I was there’!
I am someone who remains very close to you.
Close by when you cry, alongside when you mourn".

Please get this, please accept the truth I am telling you!
I know how totally inadequate my words are,
but it is still true that whenever you were afraid,
whenever you cried, or whenever you were hiding your sorrow…

There was ALWAYS someone there who stood beside you, who wrapped his arm around you. ALWAYS! Jesus…

When you suffered, He suffered with you.
When you experienced pain deep in your heart,
when you were ashamed or insecure, He shared your pain.
When you were sneered at or beaten, laughed at or put down,
He was there. When you were angry because
you lacked the power to do something, when you wanted everything
to be different from the cold truth, He was by your side!

Actually, the whole truth is that He is always with you,
even when things aren’t going wrong. When you have fun,
He is there too, rejoicing when you laugh.

He lives to see your smile, to see the sparkle in your eyes,
to see you happy.

But, He knows and understands that so much in your life
blocks the way to this happiness. He sees the tears you push away,
the ones you smear across your cheek, hiding so no one can see,
but He does see and He counts them all, each tear,
because they are so precious to Jesus.
He knows, more than any other, more even than yourself,
the full reality of what triggers your pain.

O, He has so much sorrow!
He cries and cries and cries
because He loves you so much,
because He cares about you so much.
He stands by you and watches you.
He places his hand on your shoulder again and again,
crying through your powerlessness and pain,
because He identifies with you and longs for you to ask Him to help you!
He longs for you to see Him as He really is!
His desire is to cuddle you and tell you how special you are to Him,
and show how much He love’s you.
Have you ever thought about everything He has done for you?

He is the one of whom you have heard it said He gave His life for you; your fears, your pain, your sorrow, just so he could be very near to you.

He loves you so incredibly much!
But he cries and cries and cries.
His heart torn by grief.
So, let me ask you, why are you there with Him,
and He there with you, yet you do not see Him?
Because He is looking at you with so much love!

It is this man who gave His life to save you
from all the pain and sorrow you carry.
From all the bad things that have happened,
things you couldn’t do anything about.
When, even though you wanted to stop them,
You didn’t know how.

He was there.
He was there.
He was there.

Even now he stands here with you
looking at you reading these words.
He is watching your face.
His heart beats in hope and expectation!

He is so mighty and so faithful.
You can trust that He will never leave your side.
Yes, he is the God who made everything,
who wove you together in your mother’s womb.
Now here is a thought, He left the heavens and all His glory
just so he could be with you and lead you into freedom. Wow!

Do you know why he gave his life? To save you, from sin and pain and sickness and death. Just to be really close to you. So you do not have to be alone any longer.

That is why he cries so much.
His sorrow seems without end.
He wants so much for you to discover
that all along he has been standing with you, waiting and hoping…
I know He has given you clues about Himself
and has whispered softly, sweet words in your ear.
But, with all the noise around and inside you,
you haven’t yet realized the truth about Jesus!

Look up. Open your eyes, the eyes of your heart.

You can see Him if you want to.
And when you have found Him,
you will see that you were never alone,
that He has always carried you.
That He was there in your pain,
your shame and your failure.

O, He cares so much about you!

He is so almighty!
Do you know,
He is God!
He listens very attentively
to the things you want to tell him
to the questions you want to ask.
He is so strong and so mighty!
He has accomplished everything He set His hand to.
He has completed everything His Father asked.
It is finished.

The pain you have experienced,
He has carried it for you.
You remember the blows you took?
Well, look into Jesus face and let Him show you where they actually hit Him.

He gave everything for you. Even death he did not shun in order to bring you to Him into His arms. He calls you to come…

Home.
Safe.
Loved.
Accepted.
Just as you are.
Because He loves you so!

When you see Him standing there,
so close by your side,
He touches you and heals your pain.
He will continue to heal your wounds
for as long as you keep receiving them.
Also, your sickness and sorrow
He takes away as if it was never there.
He has seen it all.
He has felt it all.
He has experienced it all.
He has taken it all!

The things you had to go through,
the things you had to experience…
He went through them too, for your freedom.

Even when they were beating Jesus to the point
where even His friends could hardly recognize that he was human.
Yes, that is how bad his condition was!
Completing the job when they pounded nails into His hands
and hung him on an that terrible instrument of death.
(the most well-known symbol on earth) the cross…
and finally as he gasped for air until he gave up his ghost …
He did it all for you!

For all your sins, pain, sickness, trauma, depression,
memories, abuse, bruises, bitterness and rejection!!!
Life delivered you.
And nothing, no nothing, was too much for Him
and nothing could have stopped Him from saving you
let alone everyone who ever lived.

His life and that of the whole world
including yours, even yours, He took up and carried
on His shoulders to set you free!
So, can you see Him standing there, so close to you?
Do you feel his hand on your shoulder?
Do you feel His Spirit, with you,
Do you feel His love and His strength?

He was always there and will always be there! Even now, at your darkest hour, He will not forsake you.

Always He continues to wait
and cry and pray and beg for you,
until you stop running and turn to meet Him!
Then He will revive your soul
with an embrace of His pure love,
with a bear-hug so big,
no human could give it to you.
He knows you so well!
He knows exactly what you need.
And THAT he will give you
more than adequately!

He will then call His angels into line:
"Protect him, he belongs to me!
Or look at her, my daughter, isn’t she beautiful?
Look there, she does love me too!
I am the bridegroom, she is the bride!
For ever we will be together!
She may share in my love for ever.
Never will I let her go.
And him too, my son, look at him!
I see a strong man.
A warrior, a fighter for my love!
He, filled with my strength,
will shine as the morning-sun!
Never will my glory in him wane.
Now that my spirit lives inside him
and he will live forever!

Now you, my child, I am calling you too. Come to me with your pain! Come to me, and call unto me! I hear you, even when you whisper softly, cry out to me, my child!

With my loving power, I will transform your life!
Regardless of how bad things seem to be
I till turn everything for good,
and will use it to honour and glorify my name!

The world will hear it!
Everyone will see the things I have done with you,
when finally you see me next to you,
filled with sorrow, filled with desire
To save you from your pain…

O, how wonderful is life
with you in my arms!
Come quickly, my love, come quickly!
Don’t want another second!
Here I am with you
and I want so much to tell you
how much I love you!

You are an Elijah,
Moses, or David
under construction!

 

Did you know God has called you for a special purpose?
Did you know God is looking at you to experience
the same miracles the people in the Bible experienced?
Did you know God has much more for you in store
than you could have ever imagined?

 

God is greater than your thoughts.
His thoughts about you are different from your own thoughts.

 

As a child, Elijah had no clue what God was going to do with him.
David was a simple little shepherd. Paul was a Christian-killer.
Moses was an orphan, raised in a strange family.
Joseph found himself imprisoned. God had a plan with their life.
They had no idea…

God did something no human could have thought of:
He poured out his Holy Spirit over ordinary people.
They became supernaturally empowered children of the most high God.
God Himself came down to the common, powerless level
of humanity and poured His strength into men and women.

This is what God has done for you. He has given you his Spirit.
Through your faith in Jesus Christ you received the Spirit of God.
Through your kneeling in front of God’s throne you were
sealed forever with God’s own power for your life.

It is He who makes the impossible possible.
It is He who gives you the power that characterized Jesus.
It is He who gives you the wisdom that made Solomon famous.
It is He who gives you the courage, just as He gave courage to little, inexperienced David. With this supernatural courage David
went out to battle Goliath, the giant fighter,
who had put to flight the whole entire Israelite army.

 

Through the Spirit of God you can change
from a sinner into a saint, from a sparrow into an eagle,
from a loser into a winner.

 

Don’t think that this does not apply to you… David could
have thought that, when the prophet Samuel came to his family
and only paid attention to his bigger and stronger brothers.
But God did not look at the outside appearance of these tough guys;
God looked at the heart of a small, unnoticed, underestimated boy.
God only had eyes for David who had been forgotten by others.

 

God has not forgotten you. He has his eyes on you
because He knows your heart. He knows how you doubt yourself.
He knows how insignificant you feel.

 

It is God who calls you. It is God who establishes you.
It is the Almighty who appoints you.
It is He who formed you in your mother’s womb.
It is He who carries you. It is He who remains faithful to you.
When friends and loved ones turn their back God remains faithful.
He will never leave you. He has designed and fitted you
for a purpose. Go in His power and move mountains.

Keep trusting Him. Wait on Him.
He will help you.

Formed through trials

 

When David was anointed as king by the prophet Samuel,
he had no idea what was going to happen next.
The Spirit of God went to work with this little shepherd boy.
He formed David in the desert, into God’s mighty servant,
there where no one could see it. When a bear, a wolf,
or a lion attacked his sheep, David, through the power of the Spirit,
grabbed and killed them single-handed. David learned
how to kill the enemies of his ordinary life.

 

God taught David to kill the enemies in his everyday life.

Before God can use you in his kingdom, He will teach you
to kill the wolves and bears of your everyday life, the sin in your life,
the pornography or addiction, the hatred or bitterness,
the conceit or unworthiness, the dishonesty and the selfishness.
Regardless of what it is, God is forming you.
This forming will last the rest of your life.

A Prayer for Forgiveness

51

 

1You are kind, God!

Please have pity on me.

You are always merciful!

Please wipe away my sins.

2 Wash me clean from all

of my sin and guilt.

3 I know about my sins,

and I cannot forget

my terrible guilt.

 

 

4 You are really the one

I have sinned against;

I have disobeyed you

and have done wrong.

So it is right and fair for you

to correct and punish me.

 

5 I have sinned and done wrong

since the day I was born.

6 But you want complete honesty,

so teach me true wisdom.

7 Wash me with hyssop

(hyssop: A small bush with bunches of small,

white flowers. It was sometimes used as a

symbol for making a person clean from sin).

until I am clean

and whiter than snow.

8 Let me be happy and joyful!

You crushed my bones,

now let them celebrate.

9 Turn your eyes from my sin

and cover my guilt.

10 Create pure thoughts in me

and make me faithful again.

11 Don’t chase me away from you

or take your Holy Spirit

away from me.

 

12 Make me as happy as you did

when you saved me;

make me want to obey!

13 I will teach sinners your Law,

and they will return to you.

14 Keep me from any deadly sin.

Only you can save me!

Then I will shout and sing

about your power to save.

 

15 Help me to speak,

and I will praise you, Lord.

16 Offerings and sacrifices

are not what you want.

17 The way to please you

is to feel sorrow

deep in our hearts.

This is the kind of sacrifice

you won’t refuse.

 

18 Please be willing, Lord,

to help the city of Zion

and to rebuild its walls.

19 Then you will be pleased

with the proper sacrifices,

and we will offer bulls

on your altar once again.
